Introduction

mediawiki-sf automates the seteps needed to install Mediawiki in a SourceForge project space. Bugs, comments and suggestions are welcome mailto:dtmilano@users.sourceforge.net.

Prerequisites

• Create the project database as specified on sourceForge documentation and take note of the supplied passwords.

Splash screen

The first you will see will be the splash screen asking you to continue with the program or exit.

Main menu

The main menu presents a series of options.

• Install Mediawiki

to install Mediawiki software on SourceForge

• Options selection

to select some options that modify the mediawiki-sf behavior

• View debug information

to view the saved debug information of a previous run

• Exit to shell

to exit to a shell and then come back to this program

• Quit

to quit definetely

Install Mediawiki

This menu option begins the instalation of Mediawiki on SourceForge.

SourceForge project name

The SourceForge project name can be autodetected in some cases, but if this autodetection fails the project name is prompted to the user.

Installation directory

If an already installed Mediawiki is located in the project space then this installation is selected. If there are more than one a selction box is presented.

Distribution file

If none installation is detected then the distribution file is searched and if found it is installed on the project space.
